Best Baby Food for 7 to 12 Months Age Group

Baby Food: After baby completed 6 months, teeth started
to come out slowly. In this phase baby likes to bite many things
including food and non-food items. They just want to do experiments by
tasting different kind of foods. But every kind of food they can’t
digest due to their age. So it is recommended to offer the baby very
light food in a liquid or semi solid form. Also this is the time where
babies are introduced with different kind of vegetables, leafy items,
fruits, lentils, dry fruits, ghee and mild spice items to make them
habituate with various type of taste.
Now considering baby of 7 to 12 months, some food idea is given for a better health and immunity of growing baby:
1. Green gram lentil with rice mix: Green gram is
rich in antioxidants and protein. It can be easily digested by baby. Mix
green gram with rice and put slight turmeric. You can add spinach
leaves too. Cook till semi solid consistency. Then add ghee as ghee
enhances the taste and add give strength to baby. Add formula milk in
hot food ad don’t give other milk like cow’s milk due not able to
digest. Mix very well and food is ready to serve.
2. Carrot puree: Carrot is also good for baby to
increase hemoglobin. Boil the carrot and water to cook very well. Smash
it to make it a liquid form. Then add formula milk on it to give smooth
texture. Then carrot puree is ready. It will taste good, so baby can eat
easily at any time of the day.
3. Banana oats puree: Banana is rich of high
protein & oats are good in fiber. First grind oats to make it powder
and then boil it with water to cook well. After get cooked mix ripe
banana and mix it to make semi solid form. Then add baby milk as per
your choice. It is ready to eat now. It is very light food.
4. Potato and Broccoli puree: Both
are very good for baby. So you can start to make baby eat this kind of
food. But baby can feel difficult to digest in the initial stage. Start
with a little amount. Same here also you have to boil them and smash to
make it smooth as possible as to eat easily. Add some black pepper for
taste. Milk adding is optional here.
5. Avocado banana puree: This is one of the best
food for baby. Due carbohydrate and fats present, help baby growing a
good proportionate. Boil avocado and mix ripe banana after cooked. Make a
smooth paste and add formula milk to eat. Food is ready to eat any
time.
6. Semolina: Food made from semolina is very good.
But prepare in a liquid form for easy digest. You can add potato and
green leaves to make introduce baby. After prepare add little ghee and
then pour formula milk to it. It is ready now. Fruits and dry fruits
also can be added after smashing.
7. Dalia: It is also good for baby’s health. Most
of us know how to make Dalia. Only you have to make very smooth as
babies can’t chew at this stage. Add milk and it is ready. You can add
dry fruits after grinding them.
8. Lentils with sweet potato: This is also a very
good fiber food for babies. Process is same as above. Cook thoroughly
and then smash again to remove solid parts. Now it is ready. Don’t add
much lentils or leafy items at initial stage.
These are some ideas to prepare baby food after 6 months. You can add
other varieties as per baby’s ability to eat. It is always a better idea
to make them familiar to words different kind of food, so that they
will easily adopt them later. Otherwise it is quite difficult to
convince them new food items after 1 year.
