Asus Makes Gaming Monitor with 360Hz Refresh Rate Technology

Asus revealed that it would partner with Nvidia to release the world's fastest monitor at the CES 2020 event. The monitor was dubbed the ROG Swift 360 which packs a 24.5-inch display with a 360Hz refresh rate.

Reporting from the Digital Trends page, Monday (1/6/2020) reportedly the Asus ROG Swift 360 screen offers a refresh rate of up to six times faster than traditional screens. The monitor is claimed to be suitable for esports players and game fans with this configuration.

"At 360Hz, game frames are displayed once every 2.8 ms to 6X faster than traditional TV and game displays," Asus said. To help drive fast refresh rates, the ROG Swift 360 relies on Variable Refresh Rate screen technology to ensure frames are lag-free and low latency. The LCD panel is equipped with a 1080p FHD resolution.

In addition, the ROG Swift 360 also benefits from customized firmware for better image quality in addition to G-Sync support and dynamic overdrive modes for fast reaction times. Asus claims that all technology packages in it will help minimize on-screen ghosting.

"G-SYNC is famous for its innovative Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) technology that eliminates problems by synchronizing screen refresh rates with GPU frame rates," Nvidia said of display technologies that drive the ROG Swift 360.

According to Asus, a 24.5-inch screen size was chosen to keep every pixel on the screen in your field of view, which will help you stay immersed in the game. Besides being the fastest monitor in the world, the clear panel also doesn't offer unwanted or unwanted flickering.

The partners claim that the G-Sync panel underwent rigorous testing consisting of 300 image quality tests to ensure consistent quality and maximum performance. Although price information is not available at the exhibition, the Asus ROG Swift 360 is expected to be available for purchase later this year.
