What is Keyword Research

Before you write anything, you must do a keyword research for two reasons. First, you will know about current trending topics to write about. Second, you are writing to earn money online. That's the main purpose for blogging - to earn money.

What is Keyword Research?

The keyword research will tell you which keyword is going to earn you maximum amount if a user visit your site and view or click advertisement. Each click they make, will earn you money as a publisher.

Keywords also let your blog post found in the search engine. You have to focus on two kinds of keywords

Long tail keywords

A keyword that is very specific in your niche is called a Long tail keyword. Every time you think about keywords, think of phrases, rather than words for keywords.

Include Keywords in your post 

After you are done with your keyword research, you must use them in your blog post strategically, Make sure you do not over do it. Try different variations of keywords,

For example

"Shoes black" and "Black Shoes" are same keywords

How to do a keyword research

I make a list of keyword that has some CPC (Cost per click) values and use the highest paying keywords. To perform keyword research you need some tools.

There are many tools, but I trust Google Adwords Keyword Planner Tool. To use this tool you must have an AdWords account, Sign in to AdWords with your account and then click the wrench icon on the top and select Keyword Planner under Planning,

Now the keyword planner will open and ask for keywords to search. You can enter the topic keywords and list of result will appear.
From this list of result for keyword, you have to make a list of keywords that have maximum bid value, For example, seo check has maximum volume and medium competition but maximum return value. So I add it my list of keyword to use.

Open MS Excel make four column

• Keyword
• Low traffic
• High traffic
• Low CPC
• High CPC

Now you can do your keyword research and keep making the list until the list is exhausted, for each keyword, enter low volume and highest volume for traffic and low CPC and High CPC values,




You have to make at least hundred keyword before starting to write your post.
